I have to laugh at myself for how quickly I can forget: any sort of real change takes patience. You can’t become a better version of yourself overnight.
Any new habit requires practice, and repetition. Like writing every day.
Any new fitness regimen requires time to bear results. Like strength training. (Don’t wake up expecting your muscles to pop.)
Any personal growth requires focus, and persistence. Like listening better, reacting less. (You also need to keep encountering scenarios that invite these opportunities in.)
Any sort of real change takes patience, and it can take a really long time. But if it’s something you want, truly want, it’s worth the wait.
