January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. The positive thing to know about this type of cancer is that it’s highly likely we women are already doing everything we need to be doing to get our bodies checked for this – getting a Pap test every three years during our annual gynecological exams. While about 300,000 women in the U.S. are diagnosed with cervical precancers each year that need treatment, it’s easy to catch and diagnose these conditions through routine Pap tests.
