If you don’t have to rush, then don’t. Build a pretty plate for yourself, make a meal an experience. (AKA: Things I need to be reminded of during the work week.)
Recipe: Crispy Baked Tofu Sticks
🌱Ingredients
– 1 block of firm tofu
– Seasoning of your choice
– Salt
– Pepper
🌱Make It
Wrap a block of tofu in linen towels and place under a heavy object (like a pot) to press the water out. Leave for 10-20 minutes.
Cut the block 7 times so you have 8 sticks. Heat your precision oven to 280 degrees. (You may just need to bake longer with a conventional oven.)
Rub both sides of your tofu sticks with salt, pepper and seasoning (I used Trader Joe’s Vegan Chicken-less Seasoning Salt and Everything But the Elote Seasoning Blend, one on each side) and place on parchment paper on a baking sheet.
Bake for about 30 minutes until crispy to the touch.
Add to a bowl, a curry, a salad, anything – and take the time to make it pretty.
